CrossWind
Field Sunday Air Circus 2007
Some events
are scheduled and some just seem to happen. This summer a number of local
pilots have begun to gather at CrossWind Field in Horse Cave, KY every
Sunday afternoon as weather permits. We have had 4 gatherings. Two with
good weather at which we’ve gotten 8 & 9 aircraft fly in respectively.
The other two Sundays have had marginal conditions with only a handful
of us participating. Anyone able to land on a manicured 1,000’ grass
strip is welcome to join us every Sunday. We usually visit with one another
for a while on the ground, then everyone takes to the air for a parade
of aircraft past a number of local towns. Most of us are well known within
our surrounding communities. Our weekly flight is warmly received by all.
Here’s a few photos from some of our fun.
